The Grand Canyon Job, take two!

After shuffling cars, Im leaving Escalante and on my way to a job...for a month. It's a driving job, so I really want to do it. I'm grateful that BossMan is giving me this opportunity. I've always wanted to do a driving job, so this is a great opportunity! (Shout out of thanks to my friend John who referred me!)

Just east of Bryce Canyon, the Godspeed flipped to 90,000 miles. That means I've put a little over 40k on her since August 1, 2017! I'm thankful for those who've helped with my rig along the way, all good mechanics, businesses, and friends! Thank you!

Most recently I had the propane lines checked because of that one day when some propane got trapped beneath the stovetop and ignited in a rumbling flame. I was going to swear off of propane, but a gal has to have her tea. Since the stovetop is the only way to boil tea in the rig, I took it to London Bridge RV. They checked all the lines and found a loose connection at the oven knob.

That's just it. In an RV, everything rumbles loose. The road vibrations make screws loose. Back in 2017 during one of Seth's lectures about RV ownership, he cautioned: "Every month, check all the screws, especially on the roof. You don't want them popping out."

I was really bad about checking roof screws. When I did check them, I found many of them were rusted. I could pull them out with my fingers.

How is it almost seven years that I've been in this RV? I've been in this RV longer than I've lived in any house... except Hazelwood. We were at Hazelwood for exactly ten years.

Other than flipping to 90k and thinking about the job, the RV, and what groceries I should buy to last me a month, the ride is uneventful. Some rain between Kanab and Page.

I stop at the Bureau of Land Management office in Big Water. I've always wanted to see the dinosaur museum, which features several species found in the Grand Staircase -Escalante National Monument.

The Page Walmart. I could go further, but I'm not sure about where camping is available between here and the job. In addition, the boss is expecting me there Sunday afternoon.
