Something's got to be done. I've got to face this addiction. Soon.

Hi, my name is Pyra, and I have a rock problem.

You see, I collect rocks. Not the rocks everyone else finds...the cool rocks. These rocks are ones with purpose. Some have holes for garden critters. Others have purpose now, like this spoon rest:

The spoonrest was supposed to be a business card holder, but the cards kept falling off.

Other rocks have a literary twist if I could figure out where they belong in my canon of life writings.

Some rocks have interesting patterns like this grey monet rock:

Or the lady-in-the-rock:

Some rocks have scientific interest such as these brain rocks of a certain desert location:

So....now I have to face the music. My winter goal: to organize, catalogue, and move these rocks toward purpose.

Why am I thinking winter? Because the Canadian geese are flying north and south. They are in flux overhead right now. Summer flowers face autumn, a little worn in the petals. Additionally, the first tendrils of winter wind blew in with the last storm. Tonight I wore a hat and gloves to walk Buena.

Jesus said to the religious leaders of His day: "O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" (Mt. 16:3, KJV)

It shouldn't surprise people that big things are happening and big things are about to go down. Now would be a good time to find Jesus. Get in the Word.

The Bible meant a lot to me when I first found Jesus at 18. Now that I'm older, it's become more profound. Things of which I only had a cursory understanding now fractalize as I read. It goes deep and is without end.

My Grandpa Vic used to say, "When you sit down to read your Bible, ask the Lord to open your heart to receive the Word and to gain understanding." All it takes is a little faith....a grain of mustard seed.

.

FAITH

(like a rock)

I read your rocks story and remembered the rock you offered me. I forgot it. Now I have a definite reason to come back! You’re so much fun. ❤️
