Spring in Havasu.

I wish I could send you the smell of orange Blossoms...so sweet. The scent auras the tree like the sun's corona. It is a promise of good things to come.

Thursday afternoons on Main Street are Old Car Paradise as restored cars, labors of love, dot the parking spaces. You'll also find drivers "scooping the loop" by driving up and down Main Street.

And then there's cactus blossoms--and bees!--in the desert.

A storm rolled in the other evening. I'd just gotten off work and quickly moved to secure tarps over the top of my in-progress roofing project.

While it's not evident in this picture, a portion of the sky momentarily glowed green, indicating tornado weather. Usually I'm able to hold the tarps on the roof with rocks and firewood, but the strong wind found a way beneath the tarps, lifting them and displacing the rocks and wood. I hurried down and found bungee cords, dog leashes, and Buena's tie out. Using those to thread through the tarp's grommets, I was able to secure the tarps just as the first raindrops started falling.

Sure enough, a funnel cloud was later reported north of Havasu. Here, it was just wind, hail, and rain. This pic shows the storm bearing down.

The weather is changing. Soon it will be time to migrate.

I know! I'm going to be sad, too! It's been wonderful being here and staying in your driveway! I'll miss you, Merry, and the dogs!
