With so much to get done before Tuesday's early morning RV appointment to replace the fuel pump, I was in a bind to finish the paint job. The previous week, strong winds had prevented me from spray painting the cab. It was almost the last thing to get done.

But....by Monday morning, I was on track with the painting and had only a few minor things to finish.

So, when Brenda announced summer finally arrived in Lake Havasu City and suggested it was time to take out the jet skis, I got on board with that idea, particularly with the temperature inside the RV pushing toward 100.

So, we took off for Lake Havasu. With only the lightest breeze, the waves on the lake were light and choppy.

Up to this point, I'd only ever ridden on the back of a jet ski at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Today, I controlled the speed and direction.

It was a blast! The wakes from fast boats freaked me out a little at first, but by the end of the day, my confidence in handling them increased.

There are petroglyphs along the river, right before going through the mouth of the canyon. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of those, but it gives me a reason to return.
