Gratitude

While reaching for a toothpick I the cabinet, an enormous feeling of gratitude washed over me. The toothpicks didn't fall out of the cabinet nor did the spices.
That was one of the things that sometimes happened after moving the RV. I had to open cabinets carefully because books, shampoo, or even spices might fall out.
As I walked around my temporary motel apartment, I looked at other things for which I'm grateful, for example: running water that is hot or cold. In the RV, I had to budget my water because the tank only holds about 20 gallons. In addition, in the RV, I constantly refilled water jugs with drinking water. I learned I go through about 3 gallons of water a day: 1 potable and 2 non-potable. With access to running water, I can cook, wash dishes, and bathe with ease! I can take a warm shower every night if I want to, and my feet can actually touch the floor after the shower because I'm not in a truck stop, state/national park, or othe public shower. Running water...it's a good thing.

And, yet, despite all this, I'm yearning to be back in the RV. After I finish painting and making interior repairs, I plan to live in it again. The owner of the hotel is leveling off a piece of ground where I'll be able to stay in it on the property.
Fortunately, though, I'll still have access to the shower and apartment living-space.

There’s no place like home and it’s an individual endeavor as to where we feel most comfortable. I’m assuming that your RV gives you an underlying sense of freedom in that you can go anywhere or be anywhere and you have your personal things around you?
