Day 2: Traffic & Shopping

Buena and I waited for the sun to rise before leaving the RV. The first time I stepped outside, just after sunrise, I told Buena to do her thing because I was going back inside where it was warm.
The heater, set at 60 had lasted throughout the night without getting down into the yellow (warning) zone. Confident that the solar panels and RV engine would fill the battery to full later in the day, I cranked the heat and enjoyed the morning.
Buena scratched at the door.
When I went to open it up for her to come inside, she stood about ten feet from the door and looking at me like Aren't we going desert walking?
"Not now, Baby," I said and encouraged her back inside.
While I sipped on tea and started work on the computer, she gathered up most of her loveys, moving restlessly from the front of the RV to the back where the warm sunlight poured through the windows. I watched her for a moment before pausing my work to gather the rest for her.
She's in a false pregnancy now, so she likes to sit with them clustered about her like puppies. And....
I can't help it! I want puppies so badly that I encourage the behavior. Maybe this year I'll breed her again!

I worked until 11:15-ish. The pancakes eight miles up the road at Cracker Barrel had been calling my name all morning. Time to answer that call!

Then...I ran errands. That's it. Nothing spectacular, no adventure, no nothing. Just Lowe's, Walmart, and the Dollar Tree, which has officially become the $1.25 Tree now as each item cost a buck and a quarter.
I also did an engine check in the Walmart lot. I'd noticed quite a bit of radiator fluid beneath the RV at Lowe's. I wasn't sure what was happening. I had a full radiator of fluid yesterday, and it kept for the long drive. But...today with the short here-and-there, traffic signals, and slow going, the fluid didn't want to stay in. Not sure what's up with that.

I got back to the campground early, and set the RV up for the night. Traffic and shopping wore me out, so I settled in for an early bed time.

P.S. -- these are the new tires on the front of the rig.

Sorry to hear about the radiator. With freezing temps in Escalante I hope you put more in if it will stay in there. It was chilly here this morning, too. Sounds like the rest of your day was pleasant. 😃
